Yesterday we went to see the finish of the classic one-day road cycling race Milan – San Remo. Almost 300 kms through hilly terrain – those guys are heroes. In my book, there’s nothing like visiting a big cycling event – the culture surrounding it is wonderful and the way the excitement builds among spectators as the helicopters approach is unique. Even tops a football game for me.

Anyway, Elise is becoming a bit of an expert. We visited the world championships in Copenhagen last year and she seemed to remember exactly how to behave. She cheered on pretty much everything that came by; cars, motorcycles and riders alike. Verbally, but also by banging the balustrade with her hand. This clip is of her verbal efforts:
